Type and Antitype.

We will further investigate the problem of this discovery doing away with 1844, but for now let us turn to another point. Some claim that the blood of Christ (the antitypical) should not be sprinkled on the earthly Mercy Seat (a copy of the true in heaven). However, this cannot be true understanding of type and antitype, otherwise we could find other inconsistencies in the Bible. The Ark of the Covenant was not just made to receive blood, it was also made to hold the law, and to be the throne of God on earth. The Ark of the Covenant in heaven is the antitypical throne of God, "The ark of the earthly sanctuary was the pattern of the true ark in heaven." ST March 21, 1911. It is above this throne that the Father Himself physically resides. "I saw the Father rise from the throne, and in a flaming chariot go into the holy of holies within the veil, and sit down... He (Jesus) stepped into the chariot and was borne to the holiest, where the Father sat... Above the place where Jesus stood, before the Ark, was exceedingly bright glory that I could not look upon; it appeared like the throne of God." Our Father Cares 202, 203. God does have a physical form, so does literally reside above His throne, "I asked Jesus if His Father had a form like Himself. He said He had..." Ibid.

If God resides above the original Ark of the Covenant in heaven, should not then, on the earthly copy, sit only a type of God, according to this kind of understanding of type and antitype? But it is the Shekinah Glory, the LITERAL presence of God that sat on the earthly copy. So then is it not also biblical for the blood on the earthly copy to be the LITERAL blood of Christ? Is it in line with this kind of understanding, that in the heavenly Ark of the Covenant lie the two tables of stone written with God's own finger, and in the earthly copy, lie the two tables of stone written with God's own finger? In regard to the Mercy Seat being God's throne, it is interesting to note that Ron Wyatt claims Christ's blood fell on the right hand side of the Mercy Seat. Heb 10:12 tells us that after Christ ascended, He took His seat "on the right hand of God" on the heavenly throne. Can we prove from the Bible, that this discovery has to be true, in order for the New Covenant to have been confirmed?

Blood and water: Apart from Lev.14, (which also represents cleansing from sin) the ONLY time blood and water are used together in the Old Testament, or Covenant, is here at the confirmation. The ONLY time blood and water are mentioned together in the New Testament is in regard to the cross. This then can leave only one possible type, of which Christ's blood and water was an antitype. What was a symbolic prophecy in Heb 9:19, was fulfilled literally in John 19:34.

And where was the blood and water sprinkled on both occasions? Above the law. Actually, Jesus HAD to have spilled His blood above the law, in order to confirm the New Covenant. The New Covenant could not have been confirmed unless Christ's blood and water were sprinkled above the law, at Calvary.

Scarlet wool: The ONLY time that scarlet wool was ever used in the Old Testament, was here at the ratification. Scarlet symbolizes sin (Is 1:18, Rev 17:3). Wool symbolizes purity and righteousness (Is 1:18). This can only be the righteousness of Christ (Ex 12:5, Is 64:6, Heb 9:14). Only once was the combination of these two, scarlet and wool ever used in the Old Testament, and they were sprinkled with blood and water on the book of the law. Only on the cross did a righteous Christ put on our sins, and sprinkle the law with His blood and water. There is no other possible fulfillment of this type in Scripture.

ONLY in the "new light" of this discovery, can we find the antitype of the ratification of the Old Covenant, when Jesus sprinkled antitypical blood, water, scarlet wool and hyssop on the law at Calvary. The blood fell on the book of the law, but above the tables of the law, as the Ark of the Covenant is where the tables were at the time. In order to sprinkle the law, the Most Holy had to be anointed (Appendix 2).

Hyssop: Websters Ninth New Collegiate Dictionary defines hyssop as, "a plant used in purificatory sprinkling rites by the ancient Hebrews." In Psalm 51:7, hyssop represents cleansing. PP277 states that, "The hyssop used in sprinkling the blood was the symbol of purification."

So hyssop and scarlet wool represents Christ cleansing us from our sins.
I John 1:7, "...and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin."

The Tables of Stone and the Sample of Blood on Public Display.

This will happen sometime after the Sunday Law. Will it be just another archaeological display, like the Dead Sea Scrolls or the Tutankhamen Exhibition? Or does God have a message that no one can ignore? The blood on the Mercy Seat proves Jesus died to atone for our sins, and the analysis of His blood proves He was the Son of God (Appendix 3).

However, in order to appreciate how important the confirming of the New Covenant is, we must understand that the New Covenant is telling us to keep the law/ Sabbath. So the message will be, Christ confirmed the New Covenant with His blood on the cross. And what is the New Covenant? The reaffirmation of these Ten Commandments, coupled with the empowering grace of God through Jesus Christ. Just as Moses sprinkled blood and water on the law, and the people were told to keep it, Christ sprinkled His own precious blood and water on the same law, signifying that we also are meant to keep it: Hebrews 10:29, "Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant... an unholy thing."

We must not break the New Covenant by breaking the law: Hebrews 8:9, "because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord." 1 John 3:4, "sin is the transgression of the law." Hebrews 10:26, "For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins."

If we do break the New Covenant, God will burn us up at the Second Coming: Isaiah 24:5,6, "The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left." However, if you have faith in Him, Jesus can sanctify you through His blood: Hebrews 13:20, 21, "...our Lord Jesus,... through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do His will..." This then will be the true message of this discovery to the world.
